The Global Biosecurity Program is focused on global risk analysis, detection, prevention, mitigation, response and control of emerging infectious diseases and bioterrorism. We conduct research on emerging infectious diseases, rapid epidemic surveillance, field response, bioterrorism, bio-intelligence, and health security in a changing biotechnology landscape. The program engages widely with stakeholders from all disciplines involved in large scale epidemic response, such as health, field epidemiology, emergency management, defense, law enforcement, legal and ethics experts. We also lead a not-for-profit, peer-reviewed, open access electronic journal called Global Biosecurity for cross-disciplinary research in all aspects of human or animal epidemics, pandemics, biosecurity, bioterrorism and CBRN, including prevention, governance, detection, mitigation and response.
