Could your innovative work in the chem/bio defense arena benefit from the chance to exponentially increase attention and interest for it?

Your opportunity is here. Answer the Call for Papers.

Take part in defining the future of chem/bio defense by presenting at the 2019 CBD S&T Conference. All submitted abstracts undergo thorough review by subject matter experts prior to presentation selections.

Student Travel Awards

Make time for your future. Make time for the nation’s future.

You’re busy studying, researching and teaching in addition to trying to determine how your hard work will pay off. What will you do after graduation? How will you do it? Can you make a difference in your future and our nation’s future?

Submit for presentation at the 2019 CBD S&T Conference!

The conference will provide 20 travel awards for students to attend and present their research. This travel award is a great opportunity for students to participate in the conference and learn about current research in the chemical and biological defense program. Consider making a difference in the chem/bio defense community and submit your abstract.

To be considered for one of 20 travel awards, students must:

  • Be currently enrolled at time of the abstract submission, as well as date of conference, in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, doctoral or postdoctoral program.
  • Undergo thorough abstract review by DTRA subject matter experts.
  • Be selected to present their work in one of the conference sessions.

Student travel awards will be based on review and selection of eligible abstracts and travel awards will cover the cost of registration, ground transportation, airfare, lodging and meals (per diem) for the conference.
