2017 Chemical and Biological Defense Science & Technology Conference

A ‘must-attend’ event! Exchange innovative ideas for the next generation of science and technology defense at the 2017 Chemical and Biological Defense Science & Technology (CBD S&T) Conference. DTRA will host the event in Long Beach, California, at the Long Beach Convention Center November 28-30, 2017.

The 2017 CBD S&T Conference offers the opportunity to review the latest and most dynamic developments in basic and applied scientific research within the chemical and biological defense arena. Collaborate with more than 1,500 scientists, program managers and leaders from across the globe who are committed to making the world safer by confronting chemical and biological defense challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with DTRA science and technology managers as well as other members of DTRA’s Chemical and Biological Defense team.

General On-Site Information

Badges

Name badges are required for entry to all CBD S&T Conference events. Those without a name badge will not be allowed into any part of the conference meeting space.

Attire

Civilian: Business Casual
Military: Duty Uniform

First Aid

First aid supplies will be available at the CBD S&T Conference Registration and Information Booth.


Photo Identification

Attendees are required to present photo identification during the conference registration/check-in. Military/government attendees should present government-issued photo identification. Academic and student attendees should present educational institution-issued photo identification.

Internet Access

Complimentary wireless internet access is provided during the conference at the Long Beach Convention Center. The Wifi password will be provided to attendees during registration/check-in.



Beverages

Complimentary water will be available to attendees during the conference. Other beverages will be available for individual attendee purchase at the Long Beach Convention Center.



Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, please contact Long Beach Convention Center security or a CBD S&T Conference staff member. Long Beach Convention Center staff includes on-site medical response personnel (EMTs) who can assist in the event of an emergency during the conference.

Photos/Videos

By attending the conference, attendees may be photographed and/or videotaped by conference staff and/or other conference attendees. These photos and videos may be published to public websites, including social media websites, or archived for historical records/purposes.

It is highly discouraged for attendees to photograph and/or record presentations and poster content.


Food Options

Attendees are on own their own for food. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase at the Promenade Café located in the Promenade Lobby of the Long Beach Convention Center. Additionally, lunch will be available for purchase in Poster/Exhibit Hall B. A variety of restaurants are located within walking distance from the Long Beach Convention Center. The Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau offers "Show Your Badge" discounts at restaurants, in addition to attractions and shopping, near the convention center.

Lost and Found/Personal Belongings

The Lost and Found will be operated from the CBD S&T Conference Registration and Information Booth. Please put your name on all conference materials. The CBD S&T Conference, the U.S. federal government, NAVAR, Inc., and/or the Long Beach Convention Center are not responsible for lost or stolen property.
